Things have been reasonably quiet over the last couple of months, although that will probably change as things have a habit of never staying the same for long.
Since the recent storm a number of concerns have resurfaced with regard to the OTP Cliffs and Walkways. While nobody is coming forward with any firm proposals, it is apparent that this issue needs to be kept alive. Some considerable damage has been done and will need maintenance work done to rectify the situation.
Concern over recreational activities at the Ruakaka river mouth has been ongoing over recent months. The short answer to this is that we all need to be able to enjoy our own chosen recreation in life and answers need to be found to accommodate that in every situation, without the use of tunnel vision. In other words we need to think outside the square.
